Host Terms & Conditions — Rider’s Story Pvt. Ltd.

1. Wear & Tear (including Tyres)

  • Normal wear and tear from ordinary rental use is the Host’s responsibility.
  • Tyres: routine tyre wear, and normal tyre depreciation are the Host’s responsibility and are not covered by Rider’s Story.
  • Damage beyond normal wear and tear caused by a renter will be addressed through Rider’s Story’s damage/claim process; recoverable costs may be charged to the renter, deducted from the security deposit, or withheld from Host payouts after investigation.

2. Insurance, PUC & Compliance

  • The Host must maintain valid motor insurance (as required), registration, PUC, and other statutory documents at all times while the Vehicle is listed.
  • The Host must promptly provide copies of these documents when requested. Failure to maintain or produce valid documents authorizes Rider’s Story to suspend or delist the Vehicle until compliance is restored.
  • The Host must ensure that the vehicle insurance policy includes a “Hire and Reward” clause. In the event of any accident, damage, or unfortunate incident during a rental period, all eligible losses, damages, and third-party liabilities shall be borne and settled by the insurance company. Rider’s Story shall not be liable for any costs arising due to absence or inadequacy of such coverage.

3. Pre-Existing Condition & Liability

  • The Host must fully disclose the Vehicle’s condition, known defects, prior damage, or material issues before listing. Rider’s Story will document condition at onboarding and during inspections.
  • Rider’s Story is not liable for damage, accelerated wear, or failures resulting from pre-existing defects, poor maintenance, or the age/condition of the Vehicle. Hosts are responsible for repairs and losses attributable to pre-existing issues.

4. Inspections, Claims & Deductions

  • Rider’s Story may inspect the Vehicle, require repair estimates, and use telematics, photos, or inspection reports to determine responsibility.
  • Rider’s Story may withhold payouts or make deductions for verified repairs, fines, penalties, or unpaid liabilities and will provide an itemized statement. Withheld amounts will be released or adjusted after final determination.

5. Indemnity & Cooperation

  • The Host shall indemnify and hold Rider’s Story harmless from liabilities arising from the Host’s failure to maintain insurance or regulatory documents, from undisclosed pre-existing defects, or from non-compliance with these terms.
  • The Host must cooperate with Rider’s Story and insurers in any claims process (providing documents, vehicle access, and reasonable assistance).

6. Execution & Notarization (Condition Precedent)

  • The Host must execute and deliver to Rider’s Story a signed and duly notarized or advocate-attested copy of the Host Agreement and any transaction documents the Company requires.
  • Timely receipt of correctly executed and notarized/attested documents is a condition precedent to Rider’s Story’s liability, obligations, and services for future bookings or transactions.
  • If the Host fails to provide the required executed and notarized/attested documents, Rider’s Story shall have no liability for bookings, payouts, or other matters thereafter; such transactions will be at the Host’s sole risk and outside the Company’s notice.
  • Rider’s Story may suspend payouts, delist the Vehicle, withhold services, and recover costs arising from non-execution. The Host shall indemnify Rider’s Story for liabilities resulting from failure to execute or notarize required documents.

7. Payments & TDS

  • Rider’s Story will remit payouts to the Host per the agreed schedule. All payouts are subject to deduction of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) as required by law.
  • The Host must provide valid tax details (PAN, GST where applicable). Rider’s Story will remit TDS and issue applicable statements/certificates.

8. Termination & Remedies

  • Rider’s Story may suspend or terminate hosting for non-compliance (including failure to provide tax or regulatory documents or repeated vehicle condition issues) and may recover costs and pursue available remedies under the agreement and law.
